Students on the University of Ulster MA Art in Public course used
Catalyst Arts as a research hub and installation area where they worked on
projects which engaged with the area, using a range of media. On the
last day of Vicinity Pauline Hadaway, director of Belfast Exposed
Gallery will chair a discussion on their project entitled ‘walking as
research’
Belfast walk, look and draw
You are invited to go on an exploratory walk around the vicinity of Belfast city and draw what you see along the way? All materials are supplied but please feel free to bring your own if you wish. We will meet at Catalyst Arts at 1pm on Saturday 7th April and walk to local specific sites around Belfast – Cathedral Quarter and Titanic Quarter areas. This is an opportunity to explore Belfast whiles you walk, look and draw. All ages are welcome.
Duration: 1 - 3 hours (you do not have to stay for the duration of the walk)
When: Saturday 7th April – 1pm – 4pm
Cost: Free
I may wish to exhibit your drawings in our lab for the duration of the exhibition with your consent of course!
